60019 (78) Ancient Regolith Breccia

Description: 

60019 is a dark glassy-matrix breccia with several large white clasts. The minerals olivine, pyroxene and plagioclase feldspar are all present and are associated with clasts of mare basalt, KREEP basalt, plutonic rock fragments, granulite, poikilitic rocks, impact melt and agglutinate. The sample also has a coating of vesicular glass. In reflected light, metallic iron is also visible.

The sample weighed 1187 grams before analysis and has not been dated.
